Rental terms

General terms and conditions applicable to every booking. Last updated: 8 August 2026.

Lessor: INFINITY HOME SYSTEMS (IHS), a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) with a share capital of €200, SIREN 978 479 475, registered office: Chemin de Blonde, 97170 Petit-Bourg (Guadeloupe), trading as INFINITY WHEELS CARIBBEAN · contact@infinitywheelscaribbean.com.

1. Driver requirements

The driver must be at least 21 years old and have held a valid category B driving licence for at least 2 years. A valid identity document is required when the vehicle is handed over. Any additional driver must be declared and meet the same requirements; adding one is free of charge.

2. Security deposit

A reduced €800 bank card pre-authorisation is taken when the vehicle is handed over (Silver and new customers) — €300 for Infinity Club Gold members, €0 for Infinity Club Platinum members. It is never charged and is released within 7 days of the vehicle's return. By registering their bank card, the renter gives the lessor a mandate to charge any damage observed according to the rate schedule appended to the signed contract, including beyond the pre-authorisation amount.

3. Insurance & assistance

Every rental includes comprehensive insurance and 24/7 roadside assistance throughout Guadeloupe. In the event of an accident, the renter undertakes to report the facts within 48 hours and to provide a fully completed accident report form (constat amiable).

4. Mileage & fuel

Mileage is unlimited on all our plans. The vehicle is supplied with a full tank and must be returned with a full tank; otherwise, the missing fuel is charged.

5. Delivery & return

The vehicle is dropped off free of charge in Petit-Bourg, by appointment (7am–8pm) — 100% online service, no counter: key collection instructions are sent to the renter on departure day. Key handover in person is available as a paid option, at the rate shown at booking. Delivery to Pôle Caraïbes airport or to another address is charged according to the area (from €15 to €40; Marie-Galante and La Désirade islands on quote; the applicable delivery fees are shown at booking). The return location and time are agreed at booking.

6. Booking, rates & cancellation

6.1 — Booking and payment. Your online booking is recorded immediately, then confirmed by payment of a 30% booking deposit — paid by bank card (immediate secure payment) or by bank transfer. Sums paid at the time of booking expressly constitute a deposit on account (acompte) within the meaning of Article L214-1 of the French Consumer Code, and not earnest money (arrhes): the booking is firm and binds both parties on the terms set out below. The balance is due no later than 3 days before pick-up: reminders are sent (email and notification) 7, 5 and 3 days before departure, with online payment available at any time. If full payment is not received by the deadline, the booking is automatically cancelled the following morning and the dates are released; sums already paid are then treated according to the scale in 6.2, depending on the date on which the cancellation occurs — the renter is informed by email and notification. For any departure within 7 days or less, full payment by card is required at booking. The security deposit pre-authorisation is taken before key handover (online from the 72 hours before departure, or by card terminal at key handover).

6.2 — Cancellation by the renter. The scale below applies to bookings recorded from 1 August 2026; earlier bookings remain subject to the terms in force on the day they were recorded. The notice period is counted between the date the cancellation request is received and the vehicle pick-up date.

More than 30 days before pick-up — free cancellation: all sums paid are refunded in full.

Between 30 days and 7 days before pick-up — half of the booking deposit, i.e. 15% of the rental amount, is retained by the lessor as a fixed indemnity for keeping the vehicle unavailable; the remainder of the sums paid is refunded.

Less than 7 days before pick-up, or failure to attend the key handover appointment — the 30% booking deposit is retained by the lessor as a fixed indemnity; any sums paid in excess of that deposit are refunded.

Refunds are made to the original payment method within 14 days at the latest of receipt of the cancellation request. Cancellation requests are made from the customer area or by email to contact@infinitywheelscaribbean.com.

6.3 — Free cancellation on supporting evidence, whatever the notice period. All sums paid are refunded in full, with no indemnity retained, in the following cases, on production of supporting evidence sent by email within 7 days of the request: death of the renter, of their spouse or partner, or of a first-degree ascendant or descendant; hospitalisation of the renter, or a medical contraindication to driving certified by a doctor; cancellation of the flight to Guadeloupe, or a delay of more than 24 hours to that flight, certified by the airline; an orange, red or purple cyclone alert issued by the Prefecture of Guadeloupe, or closure of Pôle Caraïbes airport, during all or part of the rental period; an official summons that cannot be rescheduled (court, jury service, examination, national defence and citizenship day). This list is in addition to cases of force majeure within the meaning of Article 1218 of the French Civil Code.

6.4 — Cancellation by the lessor. If the lessor cancels the booking for a reason other than force majeure or a breach by the renter, all sums paid are refunded within 14 days and the lessor pays the renter an indemnity equal to the amount the renter would have borne had they cancelled on the same date, in accordance with the scale in 6.2. The lessor may however offer a vehicle of an equivalent or higher category on the same dates at no extra cost; the indemnity is not payable if the renter accepts that substitution.

Rates and seasons. The prices shown on the website and in the app are “from” prices, expressed at the low-season rate. The high-season periods are published on the Rates page: every rental day falling within one of these periods is charged at the high-season rate, the other days at the low-season rate; where a weekly or monthly package applies, it is charged at the season in which the majority of its days fall. The quote displayed before payment — duration, rates applied, options, delivery and discounts — constitutes the final price of the rental, subject to any amounts due after return under articles 4, 8 and 9 (fuel, damage, late return).

7. Use of the vehicle

The vehicle is intended for normal use on the roads of Guadeloupe. The following are prohibited in particular: subletting, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the transport of dangerous goods, and taking the vehicle out of the territory without written consent.

8. Liability

The renter is responsible for the vehicle for the entire duration of the rental, including any fines and traffic penalties. Items left in the vehicle remain under the renter's sole responsibility.

9. Late return

The vehicle must be returned at the place and time agreed in the contract. A 59-minute grace period is allowed beyond the agreed return time, at no charge. Beyond this grace period, any 24-hour period started is payable at the daily rate in force for the season concerned, with ancillary fees charged according to the rate schedule appended to the contract. In the event of a foreseeable delay, the renter undertakes to inform the lessor without delay.

10. Right of withdrawal

In accordance with Article L221-28 12° of the French Consumer Code, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to car rental services to be provided on a specific date or for a specific period. The booking is therefore firm once the booking deposit has been paid, which binds the renter in accordance with the cancellation terms set out in clause 6. The renter nevertheless retains the benefit of the free cancellations provided for in 6.2 and 6.3.

11. Consumer mediation

After first sending a written complaint to the lessor without receiving a satisfactory response, any consumer may use, free of charge, the consumer mediator to which the lessor belongs: CM2C — Centre de médiation de la consommation de conciliateurs de justice · www.cm2c.net.

12. Governing law & disputes

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the courts of Guadeloupe, subject to the protective rules applicable to consumers.
